Roly Poly

Well, I've been posting quite a few things about Dayton lately so I thought it was time to post some things about Carson! He's doing great. He's eating baby food three times a day now and doing fairly well at it. He's also starting to sit up by himself. He can hold it for a few seconds before he falls over. He does really pretty well if we are there to help just a little bit. He's also rolling all over the place now. He's even adopting the use of the roll to get from where he is to where he wants to be. It doesn't work great as he tend to roll in a big circle :-)

Decisions

So I think that every parent has to make this very important decision at least once while their child is growing up ... do you stop the potentially dangerous behavior or hope they keep doing it long enough for you to grab the video camera? Well, as usual for me, I grabbed the camera. This is Dayton's latest naughtiness (sorry it's so dark) ...



He also thinks he's a little baby again. Check it out ... he is constantly trying to get into Carson's walker to drive. I'll tell you , this child cracks me up!

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope all you mothers out there had a very happy mommy's day. Despite the less than ideal weather (it rained all day) and the fact that the boys didn't follow my mommy's day rules (no crying and eat well), my mother's day was very nice! Saturday night Eric let me sleep on the futon in the basement away from all monitors ... so I got an uninterrupted night's sleep. It was phenomenal! Then he made me breakfast and the boys gave me part of my mommy's day gift ... a dozen Callaway Pearls! I'm also getting a new driver once I go get fitted. After that we decided to run some errands and ended up finding and buying a Nintendo Wii!!! Finally, Eric got his X-mas gift. We screwed around with that the rest of the day. Then Eric made me dinner. Like I said, it was a pretty good day.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Eric!!! He has officially reached his weight loss goal and is now on the maintenance program! He is down 41.4 lbs. Time to go shopping ... all his clothes are too big.

New Slide!

Hi. Well, here we are outside enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We actually managed to get quite a bit done around the house. Mommy and Dayton cut the grass and Dayton didn't even fall asleep this time! Daddy did the edging. Carson did the napping. The landscaping is starting to really shape up! I sure can't say it enough ... landscape rock kicks the crap out of mulch!!!!!!

Dayton also got a fun new toy ... since Ethan and Evan Kearney got a new new swing set, Dayton inherited their old one. Soooo, "new" play gym for Dayton. Thank Kearney's ... we owe you guys dinner! He really does love it. I was afraid that he would wuss out and not go down the slide all by himself, but to my surprise he does just fine!


I even managed to capture a short video clip of him playing on it. Notice that he almost falls off it in the beginning ... oops! Oh and if you're wondering, at the end when he gets his golf balls ... he wants to play "golf ball in the hole". It's a game that he invented where he rolls the golf balls across the table and tries to get it to fall through the umbrella hole. The ball barely fits but he loves to do it. He came up with it all on his own. What a kid ... ha :-)
