Congratulations Suzie and JD

The icing on the cake of our marathon trip to PA this summer was Suzie and JD's wedding! Saturday August 2nd was the big day. 8 am we were at the salon getting our hair done. About two hours later, when we were getting ready to leave, the rain came ... it poured. And all your brides out there know what they say ... "its good luck to have rain on your wedding day". Well, fortunately for Suzie, it stopped by lunch time and cleared up beautifully. So, she got the best of both worlds ... good luck rain and good picture weather!!!! So, we all got ready and Suzie's mom's house and the limo bus picked us up around 1 for the 2:00 wedding. Here is a picture of the beautiful bride pre-wedding with her adorable ring bearer and flower girl.

The wedding was really nice, but since I was in it, I don't have any pictures to prove it. Sorry! I don't even have a picture of the happy couple. Here is a picture of Eric and I though. It backdrop for the reception was beautiful.
Congratulation Suzie and JD! We love you guys!

Carson's Baptism

During our marathon trip back to PA ... Carson got baptized. He is now officially a man of God! It was really nice and he was such a good little guy. The pastor was even surprised that he didn't cry when he got "dunked". Dayton on the other hand was a handful. He, of course, couldn't sit still. So finally we just let him go and he kind of roamed around the front of the church. It wasn't until he started slamming a door right next to the altar that we had to get him. Pop-pop then took him downstairs for a little bit. We made it through relatively unscathed! Uncle Kyle and Aunt Angela did a great job standing up for the little man! Thank you so much. We really appreciate it!
After the service, we all went out to brunch courtesy of my parents. The man of the hour slept through the entire thing, which actually made life a lot easier on Eric and I. Dayton did great! He ate his pancakes all up and was a very good boy! Thanks Mom and Dad ... brunch was an awesome idea!

No Problem Mon!

Well, Angela (my sister-in-law) and Zee finally tied the knot!!! It was a beautiful ceremony on the beach in Jamaica. So here's the run down of the trip. Eric and I got to spend a week in Jamaica without the boys ... that's right ... without the boys. We left from Allentown on Tuesday July 15th and left the boys with my mom. Thank you so much Mom. I'm sure you needed a week vacation after having Dayton and Carson. Anyway, we arrived in Montego Bay after a reasonably short layover in Atlanta sometime early afternoon. From the airport we loaded up on a bus for an hour and a half ride to our Sandals Whitehouse. Let me tell you what, that was one scarey ride. Not only do they drive on the wrong side of the road and way over the speed limit on tiny roads, our driver's name was Chicken! Good grief. We actually made it there in one piece. By then end of that night, there were 8 out of 22 of us there. Here are a couple of pictures of us enjoying our first dinner.
The next day was gorgeous so we took a glass bottom boat ride. Didn't see too much from the boat but did get a couple of shots of our resort.

Thursday and Friday were kind of overcast but that didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. We hung out my the pool bar, played pool volleyball, and continually sampled the local fare. Saturday was supposed to be the wedding. Note the usage of the words "supposed to" ... well, the tropical depression that caused the overcast days the two days before finally came through. It poured all day. So much for a sunset beach wedding. So we all (22 of us) hung out in the hot tub and pool and kept the bartenders at the pool bar busy all day! It was so much fun. So the wedding got postponed until Sunday. It was a beautiful, hot day. Perfect for a wedding. Everything was gorgeous!!!! Monday was also a beautiful day. Tuesday we went home. That was a whole other adventure in itself. Long story short, we got back about an hour later than scheduled into Philly instead of Allentown. Who cares ... we made it home ... eventually!!!!

Angela and Zee ... Congrats again! We love you both!
